Streetwise in the news

May 28  Looking to buy your own copy of The Streetwise Cycle? This being the era of the online "filter bubble," I'm always creating more options where you can find it. You can get the hard copy and the ebook directly from the publisher. Or you can buy it on Amazon, B&N, Diesel or Kobo.  You can download and listen to the audio book from iTunes or Podiobooks.

If you have a favorite website where you think my book should appear, drop me a line.

April 14  I had the good fortune to be a "featured writer" at Writers' Row at the downtown LA ArtWalk last night. It's always great to spend an evening surrounded by writers and friends. Plus I got this very nice shout-out from the ever-fabulous Cheryl Klein:

"But our first stop was the Harlem Place Café, where Writers’ Row was featuring a handful of local writers who only had to compete with an espresso machine and a cash register, as every writer must learn to do. Bronwyn is a small person with a big voice, and she read a snippet from her story collection The Streetwise Cycle that was perfect for the time and space: short, sweet, Downtown-centric; narrative but not overly complicated."

March 27  The book launch party last night was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thanks to everyone who joined me to celebrate print publication of The Streetwise Cycle. If you missed the party (or want to relive it) you'll find photos, the event program, a recording of Alanna Lin's terrific song and much more on the book launch party blog.

About The Streetwise Cycle

The Streetwise Cycle is a series of nine interconnected stories about people living unexpectedly interconnected lives on the streets of Los Angeles. It's a view of the city, as seen by the people who sleep on its streets.

There are nine stories in all, each of them exactly 999 words long, excluding the title. Why? Because, why not? As filmmaker Errol Morris advises in his theory of art, "Set up an arbitrary set of rules and then follow them slavishly."

You can read the stories, listen to the podcast, watch an alternative image-and-word-cloud version and see a map of where the stories take place. It's available as an ebook that you can read on your computer or mobile device, or you can print and take it with you.

If you'd like to learn more about me and read more of my work, visit my website. What's more, I'd love to hear from you. And if you enjoy The Streetwise Cycle, there are many ways to show your support.

The Streetwise Cycle stories begin here.

Author Cheryl Klein has just blogged a great review of The Streetwise Cycle. She calls it "perfectly internet-sized stories of interconnected Angelenos."

I even love the title of her review: Street Meets Superhighway. Read the rest of Cheryl's review on her terrific blog.
